Bluecats Blast Bulldogs, 45-6
By Brett Autry
The Coleman Bluecats opened their 2007 season in a big way with a convincing win over the Brady Bulldogs, 45-
6, in Brady Friday night.
Both teams started off slow, but J.D. Crowder got things rolling when he sacked Bulldog QB Resendez in the end
zone for a safety with 5:36 left in the first quarter. That play opened the flood gate for the Bluecats, and spelled
doom for the Bulldogs.
The second quarter was all Coleman, as the Bluecats rolled to three touchdowns before halftime. The first TD
came with 9:22 left in the half, when Brandon Worsham scored his first TD of the night from 5 yards out.  Oscar
Villeda added the PAT, and the Bluecats led 9-0.
At the 3:50 mark, Bluecat QB Colton Buzzard put on the afterburners and scored from 46 yards away. Villeda’s
PAT was good and Coleman led 16-0.
With no time left on the clock, Worsham scored again....this time from the defensive side of the line, when he
recovered a fumble in the end zone for his second touchdown of the night. Villeda’s foot was true once more for
the PAt and the Bluecats led 26-0.
The third quarter started off as slow as the first quarter, until Worsham struck once more. The Bluecat RB broke
loose on a 30-yard jaunt with 7:29 left for his third TD of the night. Villeda’s PAT was good and the Cats  led 33-0.
Worsham scored his final TD of the night with 1:53 left in the third, when he broke loose and scampered 19 yards
for his fourth TD of the game. The Bluecats
then showed a little razzle-dazzle on the extra point try as Bronson Buzzard passed to “Scoring Machine”
Worsham for 2 points and a 38-0 lead.
Brady finally got on the board when Prennis Williams broke loose and raced 65 yards for Brady’s lone TD of the
night with :33 left in the third. The Bulldog PAT was no good, and the Bluecats led 38-6.
The final score of the evening came on Caleb Walker’s  four-yard run with 5:21 left in the game, adding to the
Bluecats TD tally. Villeda completed a perfect night by kicking another PAT making the final score 45-6 in favor of
the Coleman Bluecats.
