| Bluecats Blank The Wall Hawks --By Brett Autry The Coleman Bluecats scored on their first two possessions Friday night, and never looked back, as the mighty Bluecat defense held the Hawks scoreless for their third straight shutout, beating Wall 38-0. Bronson Buzzard opened the scoring gates for the Bluecats when he rumbled over from three yards out at the 7:19 mark in the first quarter. Oscar "True Toe" Villeda's PAT was good and Coleman led, 7-0. Brandon Worsham was next to get into the scoring line, as he scooted over the goal line frrom five yards out. "True Toe's" PAT was good for a 14-0 lead with 2:23 left in the first quarter. Buzzard scored again with 5:03 left in the half on a 29-yard jaunt. "True Toe's" kick was true, as always, for a 21-0 Bluecat lead. But the Cats weren't through. With no time left on the clock at halftime, Villeda added to his point total with a 17-yard field goal for a 24-0 halftime Bluecat lead. Buzzard scored his third TD of the evening with 10:26 left in the third quarter on a 1-yard plunge. Of course, "True Toe's" PAT was good, and Coleman led 31-0. Colton Buzzard decided that he wanted to get into the scoring parade, so he kept the ball himself, and raced 40 yards for the final score of the night., with 9:31 left in the game. Villeda's last kick of the evening was also good, making the final score 38-0. Coleman's defense seems to be playing better each week. They held the Hawks to a -15 yards in passing, while allowing only 80 total yards! Those kind of figures will take a team far. Meanwhile the Bluecat rushing attack got back on track, and just demolished Wall, with 351 yards on the ground, and three players over 95 yards rushing each. Worsham led the Bluecats with 124 yards on 12 carries, followed by B. Buzzard with 100 yards on 14 carries, while C. Buzzard had 11 carries for 99 yards. Colton also had another good night passing the ball, completing 7 of 12 for 85 yards, and no interceptions. In their three district contests, the Bluecats have rolled up 35, 35, and 38 points, totaling 108, while giving three goose eggs. Coleman improves to 6-0 on the season and 3-0 in district, while Wall falls to 3-3 overall, and 2-1 in district play. Coleman will host San Saba next week, while Wall will host Early.
