| Ingrid Terry Becomes Mrs. Devin McGinty Ingrid Terry and Devin McGinty were united in marriage on June 2, 2007, at The Gardens of Granberry Hills in San Antonio. The bride is the daughter of Ms. Becki Turney of Plano, and Ralph and Judia Terry of Coleman. The groom is the son of Tom and Karen McGinty of Alamogordo, New Mexico. The bride’s grandparents are Esther Terry and the late John F. Terry of Coleman, and Tincy Turney and the late Rex Turney of Santa Anna. The morning ceremony was performed underneath a white arbor adorned with blooming summer flowers. The pastoral setting included various shade trees, beautiful plantings, and song birds. Music was provided by a harp and violin duo from Etheridge Arrangements. Officiating for the double ring ceremony was Rev. James Berrier. Standing with the groom was Best Man, Terry Patrick, of Tucson, Arizona. The groomsmen were Tom McGinty of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Chris Dellette of Las Cruces, New Mexico; Jimmy Rodriguez of Las Cruces, New Mexico; and Dario Perez of San Antonio. The groom and all attendants wore classic one-button black tuxedos. The groom wore a charcoal gray vest and tie. The groomsmen wore periwinkle and the fathers wore platinum vests and ties. The usher was Tommy McGinty, the groom’s nephew, of Albuquerque, New Mexico. The wedding procession began with the bride’s mother and groom’s parents. They were followed by bridesmaids Andrea Bell, Heather Hampton, Elise Hart, and Holly Menchaca, all of San Antonio. The Matron of Honor was Denise Massey of San Antonio. All wore strapless, periwinkle satin dresses trimmed with darker organza at the waist and hem. The maids carried bouquets of pink cabbage roses and the matron of honor held a bouquet of pink cabbage roses, small pink orchids, and white stephanotis. The flower girl was Miss Aren Gaines, daughter of Amy and Mat Gaines of Coleman, and the ring bearer was Miss Stasha Thompson of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Both young ladies were dressed in tea length white organza dresses trimmed with a periwinkle satin sash at the empire waist. Miss Aren Gaines distributed pink rose petals to mark the entrance of the bride. The bride wore a gorgeous satin, white gown from Alfred Angelo. The strapless dress had pearls and lace surrounding the top of the bodice. Two rows of small pearls trailed from the back of the dress down the length of the semi-cathedral train to the matching pearl and lace trim, which encircled the full train and hem of the gown. The bride carried a bouquet of white and pink flowers, including roses and orchids, along with a white heirloom handkerchief, belonging to her grandmother, Esther Terry. Ingrid Terry was escorted to the alter by her father, and given in marriage by her parents. Immediately following the ceremony, a lunch reception was held in the The Marquee Room at The Gardens of Granberry Hills. The room was decorated in white and periwinkle with tables adorned with hydrangeas, crystal pebbles, and organza overlays. Near the sweetheart’s table for the newly married couple was a beautiful bridal portrait taken by the bride’s father at Trinity University. Close by was the cake table, also decorated with white and periwinkle. The bride’s cake was a round, three- tiered Italian crème cake with vanilla crème filling. The white, whipped icing formed lovely beaded borders and draping scallops. Her cake was topped with hydrangeas. The groom’s cake was a round German chocolate cake, iced with chocolate in a reverse shell and rope design. His cake was topped with a chocolate monogram “M.” The lunch was catered by Heavenly Gourmet Catering of San Antonio. The entrée was heavenly stuffed chicken, which is a breast of chicken stuffed with goat cheese, cream cheese, and black forest ham, then breaded and sautéed and topped with poblano cream sauce. It was served with roasted garlic mashed potatoes, sautéed vegetables, homemade yeast rolls, and heavenly baby spinach salad. Mr. and Mrs. Devin McGinty’s first dance was a fox trot to “It Had to Be You” by Harry Connick, Jr. The parent dance was to “Rainbow Connection” by Sarah McLachlan. It was followed by the wedding party dance to “Love Shack” by the B-52’s, which had everyone dancing by the end of the song. The reception continued with dancing, cake cutting, and the bouquet and garter toss. At the end of the reception, the couple shared another dance to “At Last” by Etta James before leaving with a rice send-off. The couple then went to downtown San Antonio, to take a beautiful afternoon carriage ride, complete with a white carriage and “Just Married” sign. The couple spent a relaxing honeymoon in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. A party for the couple was hosted by Nan Markland, Ann Watson, and Jane Padgitt on December 9, 2006 at the Miller Building in Coleman. Ingrid is a 1997 graduate of May High School and a 2001 graduate of Trinity University (San Antonio). Devin is a 1996 graduate of Alamogordo High School and a 2000 graduate of New Mexico State University. They will live in San Antonio where Devin is a bank manager at USAA and Ingrid is a teacher for North East ISD. |

| Tammy Martinez of Brownwood and Joe Enriquez of Santa Anna were united in marriage Saturday, July 7 at 7:07 p.m. at Whispering Prayers Ranch, located just north of Brady and owned by Jerry and Judy DeBord. The bride is the daughter of David and Mary Garza of Brady, and the groom is the son of Joe and Julia Enriquez of Santa Anna. Carrying a bouquet of three long-stemmed red roses, the bride was escorted by her son, Joseph Trey Martinez. Jerry DeBord officiated the service. Following the ceremony, the couple, along with close friends and immediate family members enjoyed a barbecue meal at the home of the newlyweds. Their honeymoon included a short trip to Laredo, Corpus Christi and a final stay in South Padre Island. | Kristen Atkins and Cody Hodges United in Marriage May 19, 2007 Mr. and Mrs. James Hodges, former Coleman County residents now of Clyde, Texas, are pleased to announce the marriage of their son, Cody James Hodges, to Kristen Joelle Atkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Atkins of Abilene, Texas. Cody's grandparents are Lucien Love of Coleman and the late Buddy Wester and Alma Wester Love of Coleman and the late J.P. and Faye Hodges of Rockwood, Texas. Cody and Kris were married by Reverend Robert Cheatheam at the Elmdale Baptist Church at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2007. The family pews were decorated with antique white metal sconces holding arrangements of greenery and miniature pale pink tulips. The stained glass windows were decorated with antique white metal carriage lights entwined with English ivy and lit with votive candles. A table in the back of the church held a silver seven-candle candelabra with the unity candle in front. The unity candle was decorated with pink roses and tulle. The church was also decorated with two large silver stands entwined with English ivy on each side holding large silver urns of pale pink roses with greenery. There were large pink roses lying atop the railings around the organ and piano. The bride, escorted by her father, entered the church to the theme music from Love Story. She wore a strapless white creation with self-fabric roses from the waist to the top of the dress in back. The top of the dress was scrolled all over with sequins and tiny crystals, and the bottom and train were covered with scrollwork of sequins and crystals. Her bouquet was a nosegay of pink and lime green roses with greenery, tied with pink and green ribbons. The bride's accessories were a crystal necklace and earrings. Maid of honor was D'Nae Edwards of Clyde, a close friend of both the bride and groom. Bridesmaids were Christy Silvas of Rochester, Texas and Kim Pierce of Abilene. They all wore street-length, pale lime green halter sundresses with a chiffon overlay and carried nosegays of pale pink roses with greenery, tied with pale lime green ribbons. Flower girl was Taylor Silvas of Rochester. She wore a white long dress embroidered with tiny pink roses and sequins at the top and bottom of the dress. She wore a halo of tiny pink roses in her hair. Best man was Robbie Shawver, a college roommate of Ft. Worth. Groomsmen were Adam Foster of Abilene, and cousin of the groom Ramey Burke of The Colony. The groom and all attendants wore 3-button black tuxedos, black western hats and boots. The groom and both fathers wore pale pink vests and ties with pale pink rose boutonnieres. The groomsmen all wore pale lime green vests and ties with a pale lime green rose boutonnieres. Ring bearer was Hunter Thornton, son of the bride. He wore a black, cut-away tuxedo, pale pink vest and tie, black western hat and boots, and miniature pink rose boutonniere. A reception was held immediately following the ceremony in the church Fellowship Hall. The bride's table was covered in a floor-length pink tablecloth with lace overlay and held a silver champagne bucket, pink crystal vase with lime green roses and miniature pink roses, and the bride's cake. The bride's cake was a round, 3-tier white confection with each layer separated by a pink ribbon. The cake was topped with a porcelain white bride and groom figure. The groom's table was covered with a denim cloth and overlayed with lace. It held a chocolate, 2-tier square cake and a metal lime green tub with long neck Dr. Peppers and bottled water. A silver boot with spurs held an arrangement of pink and lime green flowers. The serving pieces were made by the bride's father and had handles made of deer antlers. The refreshment table was covered in pink and held mints, nuts, chocolate-covered cherries, sausage balls, various meats and cheeses, fresh fruits and vegetables, dips and a crystal punch bowl with punch. The newlyweds honeymooned in the Texas Hill Country. Kris is a 2003 graduate of Eula High School. Cody is a 2003 graduate of Clyde High School and a 2004 graduate of TSTC in Sweetwater. They will make their home in Abilene where Cody is employed by New Holland as a diesel technician. |

Minister Jerry Evans officiated the double ring ceremony. Elizabeth is the daughter of Kendall and Shari Craig of Coleman. Her grandparents are Roy and JoAnn Buse of Santa Anna and Evelyn and the late Lee Craig of Coleman. Kory is the son of Monte and Diane Jernigan of Goldthwaite and the grandson of Jimmy and Mary Jernigan of Goldthwaite and Jerry and Betty Matheson of Kansas. The church was decorated with white bows on the aisle and red, creme and antique roses. The bride's colors of browns, reds and cremes were displayed throughout the church. Wedding music was provided by Chris and Jenny Craig, brother and sister-in-law of the bride. Instrumental selections on guitar were played, and the couple performed duets to Here Am I; Your Love is Extravagant; and Beautiful One. The bride, given in marriage by her father Kendall Craig, wore a white strapless gown with a full-length train and beadwork adorning the bodice. The two-layer veil came to the middle of the back. She carried a bouquet of creme, red and antique roses. Maid of honor was Laura Craig, cousin of the bride of Conroe, and bridesmaids were Staci Taylor, sister of the groom of Waco and Danielle Gras, cousin of the bride of Victoria. All bridal attendants wore tea length, satin slipdresses of brown with spaghetti straps and a creme color satin belt. Their bouquets were creme roses. Flower girl was Emy Jernigan, daughter of the bride and groom of Brownwood. She was attired in a white gown with beadwork and carried a wicker basket with creme rose petals. The groom wore a black tuxedo with white vest and suit tie. Brady Taylor, brother-in-law of the groom of Waco, served as best man. Groomsmen were Bobby Womack and P.J. Shillings, friends of the groom of Goldthwaite. All attendants wore black tuxedos with toffee-colored vests and chocolate suit ties. Seating guests were Mickey Renfro, cousin of the groom of Odessa, Cody Craig, brother of the bride of Stephenville, and Brandon Moore, friend of the groom of Goldthwaite. A reception was held at The Depot following the ceremony. Tables were covered with creme-colored cloths and held candles and centerpieces featuring the wedding colors. The cake table held candles and the bride's bouquet. The bride's cake was decorated with roses, and was specially made by the bride's grandmother, JoAnn Buse. The groom's cake was chocolate with chocolate-dipped strawberries. Houseparty members were Marie Grace, Laurie Wheelington and Monica Lira, all friends of the bride and groom of Brownwood. After a week-long wedding trip to North Carolina, the couple is now at home in Brownwood. The bride, a Coleman High School and TSTC Brownwood graduate, is employed as an accountant with Kathryn J. Isbell, CPA. The groom is a graduate of Goldthwaite High School and TSTC and is employed as a sales associate with Home Depot. A rehearsal dinner was held on Friday evening, November 3rd, at Prima Pasta, hosted by Monte and Diane Jernigan, parents of the groom. |
